Low Hall, Scalby, Scarborough
Low Hall holiday home is available to ex and retired Yorkshire miners. 10 years’ service entitles the member to one stay free of charge, with an additional free stay for every additional complete 5 years service. Members with less that 10 years service or who have used their free entitlement may still be entitled to go for a minimum payment of £55. Additional stays within the year may be available (subject to availability) at the full rate of £355.
If you are eligible the holiday would be paid for on your behalf by the NUM Yorkshire Area, however, if you wish your wife/partner to accompany you, there would be a cost of £355. This would be for a 12 day / 11 night holiday including bed, an excellent choice of breakfast, including full English and a three course freshly cooked evening meal. All rooms have en suite shower/toilet with single & twin rooms available on two floors (stairlift to first floor).
Widows of members can take advantage of a holiday at Low Hall for a fee of £55 for the first stay.
The home is situated in the idyllic village of Scalby, Scarborough in the North York Moors National Park with Whitby, Filey and Bridlington just a short journey away.

We also offer our popular Turkey and Tinsel holidays; this is a 5-day break from Monday to Friday on a half board basis with ample food, excellent evening entertainment and good company. The cost of the break is £150 per person which includes a coach trip to the historic City of York on the Tuesday “Christmas Eve”.
